About Myself

I've had plays produced and have won some awards. Most recently I was commissioned to write a play as a memorial to a New York educator. That play is scheduled to be produced Off- Broadway in the Spring of 2001. To see a list of the plays that I've written and their synopses click here.

My screenwriting career moves slowly but surely. I've got two screenplays that look like they're a happenin' thang with Trinity Productions in Los Angeles, and I was pleased to make the quarter- finals of 1999 Nicholl Fellowships for screenwriting competition.

I'm a member of the National Writers Union and have served as the Chair of the At-Large Local and on the National Executive Board of the union.  I  teach seminars for freelance writers about contracts and marketing, and on writing plays and screenplays.

I'm a huge fan of hockey. And I love defensive hockey. Okay - go ahead and groan, I'm used to it. My favorite player in the NHL is Sylvain LeFebvre of the New York Rangers. There's also a web site devoted to the stay-at-home defensemen that I like. A link to that page is:

The Cult of the Stay-At-Home Defensemen

So just how did someone in Florida become a fan of hockey, you ask? Well, perhaps it's the love of the strategy of the game. Watching the defense close down the blue line. The pleasure of neutral ice dominance. Or maybe it's seeing a great winger or center fly down the ice, deking the goalie out of his jock.

Or perhaps it's just a love of large, sweaty men wearing those cute padded shorts.

My favorite book is by Walker Percy. It's called THE SECOND COMING. Percy is, without a doubt, one of the finest writers of the 20th century. To find out more about him, click here.

The covers of my three favorite novels are:

I have a very special love who lives in Chicago. He's not the usual kinda guy you meet. Not many guys will wrap themselves around your feet to declare their love for you. To see this special guy - click here.

I recently become a link in a chain of playwright's sites on the web. For more about that click here. This chain was begun by Paul Thain, and his site is called Plays for Today.
